Bryan wanted the front table regulars to have a place to air thoughts, so we created this blog for all of you Coffee Corner regulars who would like to share your thoughts.

Well we're in Minnesota. On the way to Mt. Rushmore next stop. We spent a couple of days in Chicago, after the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Chicago is a different place now that we've left our mark. We hope tonight's work will fix the most foul smell coming from the commode. A power vented fan isn’t even close to handling it. Don't say it! It's not just that it's the four of us Mitofsky’s:) While in Chicago we visited my old (and at this point very frail) boss in Joliet, IL. He could believe the three boys. Heck when I worked for him in 1983? none of them were even born. We'd kept in touch for a bunch of the years after so he'd seen pictures.

PS at this point I'm not recommending anybody buys a Magellan GPS. Stick with a good old fashion atlas, the batteries doesn’t run out on atlases.
Bryan, If you go through Minneapolis, Mom says, "When Bryan was born we lived at 3011- 10th Ave So. we were the 1st house on the corner diagonally across from the 15 story Sears building. It was a great place and we had the whole first floor. We would walk down 2-3 blocks to one of the many parks with lakes. Bryan had a carriage and at the time we had our collie, Princess, and she would walk with us to the park."
My husband and I visited there August o6 and loved the place! We were on vacation , travelling through the beautiful county and all of a sudden ended up in Montpelier! Not knowing the town, we stopped and asked a policeman, or what we thought was! It turned out to be a security guard! In Canada, only oilice carry guns! What a shock!!! Anyway, he sent us to the diner for breakfast. Imagine my 6ft 4inch husband sitting at the counter. We drank coffee, talked with other tourists about possible moose sitings, and how we ended up here! We are heading out on Aug. 13 and plan on ending up there! Can't wait! Sarah and Ralph and the Outlaws, Gananoque, Ontario Canada
anonymous said . . . "It will take time to restore choas." Actually I wish it was anonymous who said it but actually it was another one of our great presidential speeches by GWB. Try that with a full house omelet and good cup of Jo.
I found the best seats for two in Coffee Corner this morning. I don't want to give it away though, or everyone will want the spot.
It's the last two to the right at the counter as you come in the cafe. The last two seats wrap around, getting you out of traffic. It felt strong having that spot, watching the morning out the front window. No blast of air from the door in this spot either.
Booths are good too, but from this spot at the counter, I feel like I can see the world happening while I relax with coffee and oatmeal.
It might get better than this somewhere, somehow, but this is pretty good in my book.

It's 5:24 and we still aren't on the road. Kyle says even if we go to the Walmart parking lot in Berlin he'll be happy

Ahh the front table...Was there from 1989-1995 throught the flood and all. Lisa and I miss the people more than anything. Great place.
I am not a regular or a local but just wanted to thank Granny and her colleagues for the great service, warm welcome, and good meal last Sunday.
Next time we will definitely sit at the front table.
Happy New Year!
